Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract – Maternity Cover) Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum Our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Corby, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a key role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced, operational environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance Manage month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and review management accounts, budgets, and forecasts Provide financial analysis and insight to support business decision-making Maintain and improve financial controls and processes Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes Lead and develop a small finance team  Requirements Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role Background in manufacturing or a similar operational environment preferred Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities  What’s on Offer Competitive salary of £45,000 – £50,000 Immediate impact role within a stable and growing business Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making Supportive working environment
