Skilled Machinist CNC Grinder

We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Machinist/CNC Grinder position, based in North Gloucestershire. The position is for a global engineering solutions provider. This is a full time position and would be shift based (rolling 2 weeks). This would consist of 6am-2pm then 2pm-10pm shifts.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Grinding Operations: Set up and operate manual and CNC grinding equipment to produce high-precision aerospace components.
• Machining Versatility: Support additional machining processes including Mills, Lathes, Honing, EDMs, and Assembly.
• Process Setup: Configure and prepare machining routes for diverse product requirements.
• Design Collaboration: Advise on fixture, tool, and program design specific to grinding and related processes.
• Team Training: Mentor operators in grinding techniques and inspection standards.
• Quality Assurance: Perform self-inspections and complete audits to earn self-certification stamps.
• Documentation: Work from approved engineering drawings and inspection plans, recording data accurately.
• Lean Thinking: Apply lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, to drive continuous improvement.
• Machine Care: Conduct preventative maintenance in line with company policy
