Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Plots Site Engineer to join a busy residential development team. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer with a strong background in setting out for housing developments and infrastructure works across multiple plots. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out for housing plots, including foundations, drainage, roads, and plot boundaries * Ensuring accurate levels and positions for kerbs, roads, and utilities * Interpreting site drawings, layouts, and technical specifications * Working closely with site managers, subcontractors, and groundworks teams * Maintaining and operating surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, etc.) * Carrying out quality assurance checks and resolving discrepancies on site * Keeping accurate site records, as-builts, and progress reports Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Engineer on housing or residential developments * Strong setting-out knowledge for plots, drainage, and infrastructure * Proficient in the use of surveying instruments and relevant software * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings * Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related field * Strong organisational and communication skills * CSCS card (essential) Desirable: * Experience working with volume housebuilders or groundworks contractors * SMSTS or SSSTS certification What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary/package * Long-term pipeline of residential projects * Supportive team environment * Career development opportunities
