The Role
As Nursery Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing nutritious, delicious meals that support the health, wellbeing and development of young children. You'll play a vital role in the nursery day, ensuring every child enjoys balanced, home-cooked food in a safe and caring environment.
Working hours:
35 hours per week
8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
No weekends. No bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities
Preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks suitable for young children
Designing varied menus that meet dietary, allergy and cultural requirements
Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
Managing food stock, ordering supplies and minimising waste
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and fully compliant with regulations
Working collaboratively with nursery staff to support children's wellbeing
About You
Previous experience as a cook or chef (nursery, school, care or hospitality background welcome)
A genuine interest in children's nutrition and healthy eating
Knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and dietary requirements
A positive, reliable and hands-on approach
Ability to work independently and manage your own kitchen
Must hold or be willing to go through an enhanced child DBS check
