I'm working with an innovative health technology business on a really exciting opportunity for a Technical Operations Manager to lead their support and deployment function across a suite of advanced imaging and diagnostic solutions.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in technical support, solutions engineering or technical operations leadership, ideally within healthtech, medical imaging or another regulated environment. You'd be responsible for leading a team of engineers, overseeing deployments and upgrades, managing complex technical escalations, and helping to shape the overall support function as the business continues to grow.
It's a broad role that combines leadership, operational oversight and hands-on technical input. They're looking for someone who can mentor and develop a team, drive process improvements, stay calm under pressure, and still get involved in more complex issues when needed.
Key experience they're looking for includes:
Previous experience leading technical support or solutions engineering teams
Strong knowledge of networking, hardware, software support and troubleshooting
Experience with DICOM and HL7 essential
PACS or medical imaging environments
Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server and Azure
Experience using Zendesk or similar ticketing / support platforms
Ability to manage high-level escalations and maintain strong client relationships
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
UK-based with right to work in the UK
