A specialist SEMH school in Burnley is looking to appoint a dedicated and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a structured and supportive school where your role will have a direct and meaningful impact.
The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant
In this SEMH Teaching Assistant role, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils engage with learning and develop more positive behaviours.
A key focus of the role will be managing challenging behaviour using consistent, structured approaches. You will support pupils in improving emotional regulation, building resilience, and re-engaging with education in a safe and supportive environment.
You will act as a calm and reliable role model, setting clear expectations while offering encouragement and guidance to pupils who require consistent support.
