Accounts Supervisor Location: Twyford, near Winchester, Hampshire Full Time: Part-time or full-time considered Salary: £30,000 £37,500 (full-time equivalent, depending on experience)

Our client is a busy, friendly, and well-regarded firm of accountants with a strong local reputation. They support a wide range of clients, primarily local small businesses and personal tax clients, and are looking to welcome an experienced Accounts Supervisor to our team of 14.
This is a flexible opportunity, suitable for someone looking for part-time hours (34 days per week), with the potential for a full-time position for the right candidate.

Requirements
Essential
Ideally 56 years experience within a private accountancy practice
Confident working independently and managing a client portfolio
Strong working knowledge of cloud and desktop accounting software
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Desirable
Some highly experienced candidates may be looking to step into a slightly less demanding role
The Role
You will manage your own portfolio of clients with a high degree of autonomy, while reporting to one of our Accounts Managers
Assisting clients with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, VT Transactions, Sage, and FreeAgent
Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
Managing quarterly submissions to HMRC under Making Tax Digital (MTD)
Preparing self-assessment tax returns and submitting them to HMRC following client approval
Handling and responding to HMRC enquiries
Finalising accounts for limited companies
Filing company accounts with Companies House and HMRC
