We have an openign for Senior and a Residential Support Worker.
As a Senior/ Residential Support Worker, youll provide nurturing, consistent care in a safe and structured environment. Youll support children to understand their past experiences, manage their feelings, and develop self-esteem, while working closely with a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team. This is a role for someone who is reflective, resilient, and passionate about making a long-term impact.
What youll do
Provide consistent, nurturing care and act as a trusted adult role model
Support children with daily routines, education, health, play, and activities
Contribute to care planning, record keeping, and reflective practice
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to create a safe, emotionally containing home
Use physical intervention only as a last resort (full training provided)
Support the emotional, physical, and educational development of young people.
Contribute to and implement individual care plans and risk assessments.
Maintain high standards in residential care as expected by Ofsted.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Serve as a consistent, positive role model and mentor.
Manage challenging behaviour and support children in crisis with a calm, trauma-informed approach.
Encourage the development of independence, life skills, and social integration.
Maintain detailed, accurate records and follow procedures and risk assessments.
What were looking for
Experience with children or vulnerable people (personal or professional)
Calm, resilient, and reflective approach to challenging situations
Willingness to work within a therapeutic framework
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare desirable or the willingness to work towards.
Commitment to at least two years in the role
Additional details
Shift work with optional sleep-ins
12 hour shifts 36 hours per week.
Part Time - 2 shifts per week
Flexibility required, including occasional overtime
Must be physically able to meet the demands of the role
Driving license required doe to the location. xwzovoh
Enhanced DBS check required
