Residential Conveyancer - Birmingham
£55,000 per annum
We are seeking a skilled Residential Conveyancer to join a high-performing residential property team based in Birmingham. This is a permanent opportunity within a fast-paced development-focused environment, dealing with high-volume residential transactions.
You will take full ownership of a caseload from instruction through to completion, working on both freehold and leasehold properties. The role will include acting on behalf of national housebuilders and developers, particularly in relation to part exchange and new build plot sales.
You will be responsible for managing all stages of the conveyancing process, including drafting documents, handling enquiries, reviewing titles and searches, negotiating contracts, managing exchanges and completions, and completing post-completion formalities such as SDLT and Land Registry registrations.
The role requires someone who thrives under pressure and is comfortable working to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and client service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
* Independently manage a residential conveyancing caseload
* Handle freehold and leasehold property transactions
* Work on new build, part exchange, and plot sale transactions
* Prepare and issue contract documentation
* Manage pre-contract enquiries and responses
* Review title documents and property searches
* Negotiate contract terms and progress transactions
* Oversee exchange, completion, and post-completion processes
* Ensure SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations are completed accurately and promptly
Experience and Skills Requirements
* At least 3–5 years’ residential conveyancing experience
* Able to run a caseload independently from instruction to completion
* Strong understanding of residential property law
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly organised with strong time management ability
* Detail-focused and commercially minded
* Able to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
* Confident IT and case management system user
