Position: Religious Education Teacher

Location: Ormskirk

Contract: Full-time

Rate of Pay: From £165 per day (Dependant on experience)

Start Date: September 2026

The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable RE Teacher to join a dedicated Humanities department. The successful candidate will inspire students across KS3 and KS4 , delivering engaging lessons that explore world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Inspiring students through creative teaching methods and real-world connections
• Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress
• Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and open-minded discussion
• Contributing to departmental development and whole-school initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Enhance DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong subject knowledge in RE, Philosophy, or related fields
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting young people
• Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
• A team player who is willing to contribute to school life
