Board Support and Compliance Officer (28 hrs)

We are seeking a Board Support and Compliance Officer to deliver top quality executive support to the Board and Committees, to act as the primary point of contact with the Library’s Board, to undertake all the Board related administration and to manage the demands of the complex compliance environment for the organisation. This is an exacting, intense and varied role where the right candidate will focus on first class delivery of Board support and the monitoring and management of the Library’s regulatory responsibilities.  The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in Board support and governance. You will report to the National Librarian and Chief Executive and provide support in relation to all Board and Governance matters. Strong organisational skills, excellent interpersonal and project management skills are also essential, and it would be advantageous if experience had previously been gained within a cultural, educational or charity setting. We need a Board Support and Compliance Officer who can contribute to that future with enthusiasm and skill.  Board and Executive Support ·  Provide high‑quality secretariat support to the Board and its Committees, including: o     Planning meeting schedules o     Preparing agendas and coordinating high‑quality papers Provide PA and administrative support to the Chair and other Board Members as required, including diary management, travel arrangements, expenses and budget monitoring. · Support the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer on all Board, governance and compliance matters.
