Zero-hours contract | Flexible shifts | Weekend rota required
Please note: This is a casual, flexible role with no guaranteed full-time hours. It is best suited to individuals who are retired, semi-retired, or seeking occasional work alongside other commitments.
Our client is a respected transport charity delivering essential passenger services across East London. Supporting nearly 50,000 members and over 1.3 million journeys each year, their work makes a real difference in the community.
They are looking for reliable, community-focused drivers who value flexibility over fixed full-time hours.
You'll support a variety of services, including school runs, day centres, excursions, and Dial-a-Ride. The role offers variety, but also requires adaptability to changing schedules.
Working pattern (important)
Casual hours – this is not a full-time position
Shifts offered between 06:00 and midnight, Monday to Sunday
Rota-based system, updated every 3 weeks
Weekend availability is required
Hours will vary week to week

Requirements
D1/PSV licence (maximum 3 points) – essential

Passenger transport experience (desirable, not essential)
Key responsibilities
Drive safely and professionally (D1/PCV standards)
Transport passengers using accessible vehicles
Assist passengers, including wheelchair users
Complete vehicle checks and maintain records
Provide a courteous, door-to-door service
Follow schedules and communicate with the depot when required
Not suitable for applicants seeking full-time, fixed-hour roles
