360 Operator

We are looking for an experienced 360 Operator to join our metal recycling facility.

The operator will be responsible for safely operating a 360 material handler or excavator fitted with grabs, magnets, or shears to move, sort, and load scrap metal.

This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Key Responsibilities.

Operate a 360 excavator/material handler to move, load, and sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Feed shredders, shears, balers, and other processing equipment with material.

Load and unload lorries, containers, and storage bays with scrap metal.

Use appropriate attachments (grabs, magnets, shears) safely and efficiently.

Conduct daily machine checks, routine maintenance, and report any faults or damages.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.

Work closely with yard staff, weighbridge operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth site operations.

Comply with all site health & safety and environmental regulations, including handling hazardous materials safely.

Support recycling targets by ensuring efficient material flow and minimising contamination.

Experience is mandatory.

Shifts available AM or PM: 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00 Pay rates for AM shift £16.27 and PM £16.77 We offer full support for you to succeed in your role!
