Teaching Assistant - Secondary School Location: Crewe, Cheshire Daily Rate: £92.63 - £109.40 About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a secondary school in Crewe. In this role, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in the classroom and in small group settings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people during a crucial stage of their education. Key Responsibilities: Supporting Classroom Learning: Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all students. Individual & Small Group Support: Provide focused support to students who need additional help, helping them stay on track with their learning and achieve their academic targets. Differentiated Support: Adapt resources and activities to suit a range of abilities, ensuring all students can access the curriculum. Behaviour Support: Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a calm, respectful classroom environment, supporting students with behavioural or emotional needs where required. Monitoring Student Progress: Support teachers in assessing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to help inform future learning. Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Maintain a strong awareness of safeguarding procedures and contribute to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students. Key Skills & Qualities: A genuine passion for working with young people in a secondary school setting Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced classroom environment A team-oriented approach to supporting teaching staff and students Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude Good organisational skills and the ability to take initiativeEssential Requirements: A strong interest in supporting students' academic and personal development Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)Desirable: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Experience working with secondary-aged students Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)If you are looking to make a real difference in a Crewe secondary school and support students in reaching their full potential, we would love to hear from you.
