🧭 About the Role
Remedy Tutors are seeking a qualified Educational Psychologist to support children and young people aged 4-16 through assessment and intervention, particularly in relation to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
This is a flexible, 0-hour contract role, ideal for professionals looking to manage their own caseload while making a meaningful impact across a range of educational settings.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psychological assessments using:
Observations
Standardised tools
Interviews with pupils, families, and professionals
Produce high-quality psychological reports to support:
EHCP assessments
Intervention planning
Provide clear, actionable recommendations tailored to individual needs
Work collaboratively with:
Schools and teaching staff
Families and carers
Manage a flexible caseload, maintaining high professional standards🏫 Working Arrangements
Work delivered across:
Homes
Online
Flexible hours based on availability
Opportunity to complete report writing and admin remotely🎓 Essential Requirements
Doctorate in Educational Psychology (DEdPsy) or equivalent
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
Eligibility for Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society
Experience conducting psychological assessments and writing reports
Experience supporting:
SEMH (social, emotional, mental health needs)
Autism and ADHD
Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches⭐ Desirable
Experience completing EHCP assessments
Background working in:
Schools
Local authorities
Specialist or alternative provision settings🧠 Key Skills
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Strong analytical and assessment ability
Ability to engage children and young people with diverse needs
Effective time and caseload management
