Head of FPNA

Head of FP&A – Financial Services Location: London (2 days on site, 3 days remote) Rate: £500–£650 per day Contract: 6 months (initial) Experience: 5+ years (Financial Services essential) Overview We’re supporting a leading financial services firm in London looking to appoint an experienced Head of FP&A on an initial 6-month contract. This role will focus on BAU financial planning and analysis while also supporting key business decisions across the organisation. Experience within wealth management is beneficial but not essential. Key Responsibilities * Lead the FP&A function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning * Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, including variance analysis and performance insights * Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to support strategic decision making * Own and enhance financial models to support business growth and profitability analysis * Drive improvements in reporting processes, systems, and data integrity * Support regulatory and financial reporting requirements within a financial services environment * Provide commercial insight on revenue streams, cost optimisation, and investment opportunities * Manage and mentor junior finance team members where applicable Requirements * Minimum 5+ years’ experience within Financial Planning & Analysis * Proven background in financial services (essential) * Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders * Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills * Experience working in fast-paced, BAU-focused environments * Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred Desirable * Prior experience within wealth management environments * Exposure to financial systems transformation or reporting improvements * Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks within financial services Additional Information * Immediate start preferred * Hybrid working model with 2 days on site in London * Competitive day rate depending on experience If you’re a finance contractor with financial services experience and available for your next opportunity, get in touch to discuss further
