About the role
Reception Teacher – Haringey – September 2026
Are you an Early Years Teacher looking for a well-supported Reception class in a structured and well-led primary school?
A welcoming and well-organised primary school in Haringey is seeking a Reception Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a permanent opportunity within a school recognised by Ofsted as Good, with a strong focus on consistency and early development.
About the School
The school serves a diverse local community and places a strong emphasis on getting the early years right. The Reception provision is well-established, with clear routines, defined learning areas, and a practical approach to supporting children as they transition into full-time education.
There is a strong focus on communication, early language, and phonics, with systems in place to identify and support pupils who need additional input early on. Staff work closely together, and leaders are visible and supportive, ensuring expectations are clear and consistently applied across the setting.
What You’ll Benefit From
• A well-resourced EYFS environment with access to outdoor provision
• Clear structure to the school day with established routines
• Strong support from senior leadership and the EYFS lead
• Shared planning and collaboration within the Early Years team
• CPD focused on early development, phonics, and classroom practice
The Role
As a Reception Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children at the very start of their education, helping them to settle, develop confidence, and build strong learning foundations.
You will:
• Deliver a balanced approach across adult-led learning and continuous provision
• Support early reading, writing, and language development
• Create a calm, organised, and engaging classroom environment
• Track progress and adapt provision to meet individual needs
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers

This role would suit a Reception Teacher who:
• Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience within EYFS or a strong understanding of early years practice
• Is confident delivering phonics and supporting early language development
• Can establish clear routines and manage behaviour effectively
• Takes a consistent and practical approach to teaching
Please note: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
