EYFS Class Teacher (Supply Opportunities – Nursery / Reception) Location: Osmaston Job Type: Flexible Supply – Long-term, Short-term, Day-to-day, Full-time and Part-time available Pay: £160–£225 per day Classroom Recruiters are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Derby, alongside a wider network of local schools, to recruit passionate and adaptable EYFS practitioners seeking flexible opportunities within Early Years education. This role is ideal for an EYFS teacher looking for a new challenge, varied experience, or flexible working patterns. We are currently offering a range of placements including long-term, short-term, day-to-day supply, as well as full-time and part-time opportunities. Depending on your experience and preference, you may be placed within Nursery (FS1) or Reception (FS2). This is a fantastic opportunity to work across different EYFS settings, gain varied classroom experience, and make a real impact in supportive school environments. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality EYFS teaching across Nursery and/or Reception settings * Adapt quickly to different school environments, routines and expectations * Provide engaging, child-centred learning in line with the EYFS framework * Support children’s learning through effective observation, interaction and assessment * Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure consistency and continuity of learning * Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and Autism where required * Use indoor and outdoor provision, along with creative EYFS approaches, to enhance learning * Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers Candidate Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Experience working within EYFS (Nursery and/or Reception) * Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, including phonics and early reading * Ability to adapt quickly and confidently to new classroom environments * Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable * Excellent communication and organisational skills * A nurturing, flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching * Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children * A positive attitude and willingness to embrace varied teaching experiences This opportunity is perfect for EYFS practitioners who enjoy flexibility, variety, and the chance to work across different school settings while still making a meaningful difference in children’s early development.
