About the Firm

The pensions landscape continues to evolve, bringing increasingly complex legal, regulatory and governance challenges for trustees, employers and pension scheme stakeholders. Our client has developed a highly respected Pensions practice, advising on the full spectrum of pensions law, from day-to-day advisory work through to corporate transactions, scheme governance, funding arrangements, regulatory compliance and complex disputes. Working as part of a nationally connected team, the practice supports a broad client base spanning both the private and public sectors. As part of its long-term growth strategy, the firm is seeking an established Pensions Partner to further strengthen its national offering.

The Opportunity

  • Take a leading role in the continued expansion of the firm's national Pensions practice.

  • Advise trustees, sponsoring employers and pension providers on a broad range of pensions law matters.

  • Lead on complex advisory work, including scheme governance, funding arrangements, benefit design, de-risking exercises and regulatory compliance.

  • Support Corporate, Employment and Banking teams on the pensions aspects of mergers and acquisitions, business reorganisations and financing transactions.

  • Build trusted relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to develop new instructions across the firm's national platform.

  • Represent the practice through business development, networking and thought leadership within the pensions market.

  • Provide strategic leadership, mentoring and support to colleagues across the wider team.

  • Collaborate with Partners across multiple disciplines to deliver practical, commercially focused advice to clients throughout England.

The Ideal Candidate

  • An established Pensions Partner with a recognised profile in the pensions market.

  • Extensive experience advising trustees, employers and pension scheme stakeholders on a wide range of pensions matters.

  • A strong network of professional contacts and an established track record of developing lasting client relationships.

  • A strategic adviser who combines technical excellence with sound commercial judgement.

  • An approachable and collaborative leader with experience developing teams and supporting junior lawyers.

  • Someone who is enthusiastic about contributing to the continued growth and success of a national Pensions practice.

What's on Offer

  • A tailored package aligned with the experience and market profile of the successful individual.

  • The opportunity to become part of a nationally recognised Pensions practice with ambitious plans for continued growth.

  • Access to a broad and established client base, supported by strong relationships across complementary practice areas.

  • A collaborative partnership that encourages knowledge sharing, cross-referrals and long-term client development.

  • The scope to influence the direction of the practice while continuing to strengthen your own market presence.

  • The backing of a firm committed to investing in its people, sector expertise and future growth.
