Engineering Manager

We are partnering with a market-leading FMCG and food manufacturing business experiencing massive growth. They are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to drive operational excellence, asset performance, and automation at a state-of-the-art facility.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will transform the engineering function into a data-driven, highly reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & Transform: Take full operational ownership of the Engineering and Facilities teams.
• Drive Digitalisation: Embed CMMS, asset tagging, and performance dashboards to track true cost of ownership.
• Optimise Reliability: Deliver high asset availability/OEE and reduce unplanned downtime using lean principles.
• Commercial Ownership: Manage complex maintenance budgets, spare parts strategies, and contractor delivery.
• People First: Mentor, coach, and upskill a multi-disciplinary team, promoting a strong safety culture.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven Engineering Management experience within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing (24/7 environment preferred).
• A track record of delivering high asset reliability, automation programmes, and budget management.
• A data-driven change champion who can translate strategy into clear engineering priorities.
• Engineering degree/vocational equivalent and formal H&S qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
