Creative Programmes Teacher - Specialist Post-16 Education
Location: West London
Salary: £37,000 - £42,000
Contract: Full Time | Permanent | Term Time Only (39 Weeks)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
A specialist Post-16 education provider is seeking a passionate and creative Teacher of Creative Programmes to join its West London campus.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with a background in Art & Design, Creative Media, Photography, Illustration, Graphic Design, Fashion, Digital Arts, or a related creative subject who is passionate about supporting young people with SEND to achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
You will deliver engaging Level 2 and Level 3 programmes for learners aged 16-25, combining creativity, employability, personal development, and real-world learning.
Working within a supportive specialist environment, you will help learners develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and progression pathways while embedding neuro-affirming and trauma-informed approaches.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality creative programmes
* Differentiate learning to meet a range of SEND needs
* Assess learner progress, coursework, and portfolios
* Monitor ILP targets and EHCP outcomes
* Create engaging schemes of learning and project-based activities
* Support learners' wellbeing, independence, and personal development
* Work collaboratively with Learning Support teams and external partners
* Lead enrichment activities, trips, and workshops
* Contribute to safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, QTS, QTLS or equivalent)
* Qualification in a creative subject such as Art & Design, Creative Media, Photography, Fashion, Illustration, Graphic Design, or similar
* Experience teaching within Secondary, Sixth Form, Further Education, Specialist Education, SEND, or Alternative Provision settings
* Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, autism, or additional needs
* Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
* Passion for creative education and inclusive learning
