Electrical Estimator (Substations / Infrastructure Projects) South Wales (Bridgend / Cardiff area) £65,000 – £75,000 + package We’re recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join an established regional contractor delivering specialist electrical works across substation, industrial and infrastructure projects. This is a key role focused on pricing complex electrical packages within critical infrastructure environments, not typical building services or commercial fit-out work. The Opportunity * Involvement in substation and infrastructure electrical projects * Work with a contractor known for technical delivery and quality * Strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects * Long-term, permanent role with growth potential The Role * Preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical works within substations and industrial environments * Taking ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission * Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation * Carrying out detailed take-offs and first-principles pricing * Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing * Supporting project teams through handover and delivery phases What We’re Looking For * Experience as an Electrical Estimator within industrial or infrastructure projects * Background in substations, HV/LV distribution, earthing or similar specialist electrical works * Strong technical understanding of electrical installations in heavy / industrial environments * Confident pricing from first principles IMPOTANT: This role is not suited to candidates from a purely building services background (e.g. office fit-out, commercial lighting/heating systems).
