Junior Design Engineer

They are now looking to recruit a Junior Thermal / Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with approximately 1–2 years' engineering experience who wants to build their technical capabilities, gain exposure to specialist engineering projects and develop their career within a highly technical design and manufacturing environment.

The Role
Working alongside experienced engineers, you will receive guidance and support while developing your knowledge across mechanical design, thermal engineering and heat exchanger technology.
Your responsibilities will include:

Analyse customer specifications and technical information to support the development of mechanical and thermal designs, helping produce cost-effective engineering solutions that meet customer requirements.
Prepare engineering and project documentation, ensuring accurate technical information is available to support the transfer of designs into the manufacturing environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across different engineering disciplines and departments, providing technical support and developing an understanding of the wider project lifecycle.
Participate in technical clarification meetings with internal teams and external customers, helping interpret requirements and resolve technical queries.
Carry out engineering simulations on existing designs to support technical activities, while using established processes and continuous improvement tools to improve efficiency and reduce waste.About You

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Approximately 1–2 years' experience within a mechanical, thermal, manufacturing or process engineering environment.
A good understanding of mechanical design principles, with an interest in thermal engineering, heat transfer or engineered equipment.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering data.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage priorities.Working Hours & Benefits
