ASD TA - Didcot, Oxfordshire
ASAP Start | £85-£105 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term
Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them flourish in education? A friendly and inclusive school in Didcot is looking for a dedicated ASD TA to join its team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an ASD TA to provide personalised support while helping pupils build confidence, develop independence and engage positively with their learning and peers.
The Role
As an ASD TA, you will:
Provide dedicated one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with autism.
Assist with individual learning, development and behaviour strategies.
Support pupils throughout lessons, activities and daily school routines.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff.
Help maintain a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
About You
The ideal ASD TA will have:
A patient, caring and proactive approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
The ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
Patience and resilience when responding to individual pupil needs.
Previous experience in a school or with children with autism is desirable, but not essential.
