Project Engineer

PROJECT ENGINEER – EDINBURGHPeace Recruitment is working with a leading contractor looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer to support a major government framework project.The successful candidate will initially be based on a large flatted development in Granton. The business also has a strong pipeline of future projects across Edinburgh, the East of Scotland, Central Belt and Fife.The RoleWorking closely with the wider construction and technical teams, you will help ensure the project is delivered safely, accurately and to the required quality standards.Key responsibilities will include:Coordinating engineering and technical activities on siteReviewing drawings, specifications and construction informationProviding technical support to the site and project teamsManaging setting-out requirements and resolving technical queriesLiaising with subcontractors, consultants and other project stakeholdersMonitoring quality and ensuring work complies with the relevant drawings and specificationsSupporting progress meetings, reporting and project coordinationIdentifying potential technical issues and helping to develop practical solutionsWhat We’re Looking ForApplicants must have previous experience working with either a housebuilder or main contractor.You should also have:Experience delivering flatted residential developments or similar large construction projectsA relevant construction or civil engineering qualificationStrong technical knowledge and the ability to interpret construction drawingsExcellent communication and coordination skillsA proactive approach to problem-solvingThe ability to work effectively with site teams, consultants and subcontractorsThe OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor delivering a significant long-term framework.
