About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Electrical Installation Lecturer.This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional looking to move into education or an experienced lecturer seeking a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Electrical Installation programmes.
Delivery of Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation
Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements.
Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
Monitor and track learner attendance, progress, and performance.
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning resources.
Embed Maths, English, digital skills, and employability within the curriculum.
Support learners in developing both practical and theoretical electrical installation skills.
Maintain workshops, equipment, and learning environments to industry standards.
Conduct learner reviews and provide academic and pastoral support.
Participate in curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
Build and maintain positive relationships with employers and industry stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies.
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering.
Industry experience within electrical installation, maintenance, or related sectors.
Up-to-date knowledge of electrical industry regulations and working practices.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to engage and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds.
Good IT and administrative skills.
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, DET, AET or equivalent).
Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1 or equivalent).
IQA qualification.
Experience teaching within Further Education or Apprenticeship provision.
ECS Gold Card or recognised industry accreditation.
Knowledge of the latest IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Experience delivering City & Guilds, EAL, T Level or Apprenticeship programmes.
