Step into a Account Manager role where you’re more than just a point of contact, you’re the driving force behind customer relationships, delivery performance, and long-term growth. This Account Manager position sits at the heart of a well-established electronics manufacturing environment, giving you the chance to work closely with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to keep everything running smoothly and on time.
As a Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of key customer accounts, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded. This Account Manager role offers a mix of relationship management, planning, and problem-solving, with the flexibility of working from home on Fridays and a supportive, collaborative team around you.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts, including site visits
Produce and maintain delivery and production plans aligned to demand
Oversee repeat orders and contract reviews to meet capacity and material requirements
Work closely with Purchasing to ensure timely material availability
Support engineering teams during peak periods (BOM checks, MRP updates)
Expedite and resolve issues impacting delivery or commitments
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and promote services
Prepare and negotiate quotations with customers
Liaise with internal teams to resolve technical or operational challenges
Essential Skills:
Proven experience as a Account Manager or similar within manufacturing or engineering
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Highly organised with excellent planning and prioritisation ability
Confident presenting data and building lasting customer relationships
Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desirable Experience:
Background in a CEM (Contract Electronics Manufacturing) environment
Knowledge of electronics production processes
Experience using MRP systems
Benefits:
£40,000–£45,000 salary (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with Friday working from home
