This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading luxury garden building manufacturers. With over 50 years of heritage, Crane Garden Buildings has built an outstanding reputation for designing and manufacturing premium bespoke garden buildings that combine craftsmanship, quality, and sustainability.
Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, we are looking for a Sales Design Consultant to join our successful showroom team in Sevenoaks.
About the Role
As a Sales Design Consultant, you will guide customers through the entire sales journey, from initial enquiry through to design consultation and final purchase. You'll take the time to understand individual requirements, helping customers create beautiful, bespoke garden buildings tailored to their needs.
Using your consultative sales approach, creativity, and excellent communication skills, you will transform customer ideas into inspiring design solutions whilst delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome and engage customers visiting the showroom.
* Conduct in-depth consultations to understand customer requirements, lifestyle needs, and project objectives.
* Design and configure bespoke garden building solutions tailored to each customer's vision.
* Produce layouts, designs, and visual presentations to help customers visualise their projects.
* Manage the full sales process from enquiry through to order confirmation.
* Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service throughout their buying journey.
* Follow up enquiries and quotations to maximise conversion rates.
* Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance measures.
* Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within company systems.
* Keep up to date with product knowledge, design trends, and industry developments.
* Represent the Crane Garden Buildings brand professionally at all times.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in consultative sales, showroom sales, luxury retail, design sales, or a customer-focused sales environment.
* A confident and engaging communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and proven ability to close sales.
* A creative mindset with a good eye for design and detail.
* Self-motivated, organised, and target driven.
* Passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Experience within kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories, garden centres, furniture, luxury home improvement, luxury retail, or other showroom-based sales environments would be highly advantageous.
