Salary / Rate: negotiable, pension, professional fees etc.THE ROLEWe are currently seeking a SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to join our client based in Cambridge.This is an excellent opportunity to join an award winning firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion.They have experience of working on projects for commercial offices, schools & colleges, industrial buildings, high end residential, historic cathedrals, retail space and more.You will be mentoring junior engineers and technicians.THE CLIENTOur client is a successful, award winning firm of consulting engineers who are working on various projects in the built environment.They currently have two offices in the U.K.THE CANDIDATEYou will need to have experience of the following:- At least 3 years or more post graduation experience working as a Structural Engineer.You must have been working for a firm of consulting engineers.You need to have a BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and possibly also have an MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.You will ideally be either Chartered with IStructE or MICE or be almost chartered.You should have used structural engineering software e.g.
Tekla Structural Designer plus good experience in the use of Excel and TEDDS.Knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit and Bluebeam along with BIM Level 2 advantageous.You should have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.You must have excellent communication skills – both written and spoken to deal with clients and contractors.Some experience of mentoring junior engineers and technicians would be good.A full UK driving licence is required. xwzovoh Salary is negotiable and there is an excellent package of company benefits which includes pension, professional fees and more.Please email a full c.v.
