Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative with VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) driving experience to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including the safe handling and movement of goods using specialized equipment. Your expertise will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes, accurate inventory management, and the maintenance of a safe and organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities

Operate VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse Manage materials handling tasks with precision, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of stock in designated storage areas Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and generate reports Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure operational readiness Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times Support warehouse operations through heavy lifting of goods and materials as required, following proper manual handling techniques

Skills

Proven experience operating VNA forklifts or similar narrow aisle equipment with a strong focus on safety and precision Knowledge of warehouse management systems for inventory control and order processing Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment when necessary Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and manual labor tasks Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, including documentation verification Good understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices for equipment operation Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
