Role Overview
- We are looking for a senior tax leader to join M&G’s Group Tax team as Head of Life Tax, leading our Life tax function and supporting a dynamic and evolving business
- This is a high-impact role at the centre of the Group’s financial and regulatory agenda, combining technical expertise, commercial insight and strategic influence
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of Life tax compliance and reporting, ensuring high-quality delivery in a well-controlled environment
- Act as a trusted adviser to the Life business, supporting strategic initiatives, transactions and regulatory change
- Manage key relationships with HMRC, auditors and senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk and the business
- Play a key role in managing tax risk and contributing to the Group’s wider tax strategy and control framework
- Build and lead a high-performing team, driving capability development and continuous improvement
- You will be joining a collaborative, high-performing tax team operating at the heart of a FTSE 100 financial services group. The role offers the opportunity to shape tax strategy, influence business decisions and help design sustainable operating models in an increasingly complex global tax environment
Qualifications
- Commercially minded, with the ability to translate technical issues into clear business advice
- Strong focus on governance, risk management and delivery
- Deep expertise in Life / insurance taxation, with strong technical and judgement skills
- Proven experience leading teams and working with senior stakeholders in complex organisations
