Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a talented and passionate Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Burnley area on a full-time maternity cover placement starting in November 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Art Teacher who is committed to inspiring creativity, developing practical artistic skills, and engaging students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will join a supportive department and play a key role in delivering high-quality Art lessons throughout the maternity cover period.
The Role
Full-time Art Teacher position (5 days per week)
Maternity cover starting November 2026
Teaching Art across KS3 and KS4
Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons
Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting pupils to achieve their full creative potential
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school setting
Strong classroom management skills
Passion for Art and creative education
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
