Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate - Fire Extinguishers who will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of Fire Systems assets mainly - Fire Extinguishers on the Trackside environment. You could be someone with an electrical background 18 th

edition looking for a new challenge or have previous Fire systems experience.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate - Fire Extinguishers will be working within a Trackside environment. You’ll be working on a permanent night shift Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am pattern in all weather. You’ll be working as part of a team and completing tasks individually as well. You will ensure you always work safely. There will be a great deal of travel from station to station, so it is imperative that you have a full driver’s license

Who you are:

You will have either some electrical experience ideally 18 th

Edition or City and Guilds and be looking for an opportunity to develop on this experience of a candidate who has had some exposure to fire systems and keen to continue to develop.

Key Requirements:

Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to either the site SPC or your line manager

Responsible for completion of maintenance against defined schedule

Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues

Complete any administration tasks in a timely manner

Knowledge of Fire extinguishers or previous electrical experience is required for system maintenance procedures relating to the specific contract you are aligned too – Fire Systems within Rail

Must have a driving licence

Happy to take part in a drug and alcohol test as you will be working trackside

Comply with relevant QEHS requirements
