Are you an experienced Buyer who enjoys taking ownership, working independently and keeping a busy supply chain running smoothly?

We're recruiting for an established international distribution business based in the Gatwick area, looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer to take responsibility for UK purchasing and inventory management.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is self-sufficient, resourceful and confident using their own initiative. You'll need to be a natural self-starter, comfortable learning new systems and processes independently, finding solutions and getting things done without constant direction.

The Role

You'll take ownership of stock levels, purchasing and forecasting, ensuring the right products are available at the right time and in the right quantities.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing stock levels, forecasting demand and preventing stock shortages.
• Analysing sales and stock data using Excel, ERP systems and Power BI.
• Raising purchase orders, monitoring deliveries and expediting where necessary.
• Managing excess, slow-moving and obsolete stock.
• Building relationships with UK, European and international suppliers.
