We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technician for a permanent position based with our client in York.

Salary is £30,000 per annum and upwards depending on experience.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience within engineering, production, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, or a strong mechanical background.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business and play a key role in maintaining and improving product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Control & Assurance Carry out final quality inspections on machines before they leave the factory Inspect paint finish and overall cosmetic appearance Complete visual weld inspections Conduct torque checks on fasteners Verify hydraulic and electrical systems Ensure all correct options and components are fitted Perform functional testing and geometry checks Sign off completed machines for stock or identify any rectification work required to meet quality standards Reporting & Documentation Monitor and track build quality and production trends Highlight recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain accurate records for internal audits and quality reviews Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and internal quality procedures Warranty & Service Support Assist with the administration and processing of warranty claims Work closely with the parts and dealer support teams Assess warranty claims for technical validity and identify root causes and corrective actions Failure Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Support investigations into machine or component failures, both in-house and in the field Work alongside engineering, production, and suppliers to identify root causes Help implement corrective and preventative actions to improve reliability xwzovoh and build quality Collaboration Work closely with Production, Engineering, Sales, Parts, and Service departments Act as a key link between factory quality, aftersales, and dealer support teams Skills & Experience Required Hands-on experience within engineering, manufacturing, or service environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
