Location: Midlands or South East England Salary: Around £40,000 + benefits Sector: Power infrastructure / grid connections? Envo Talent is working with an expanding Independent Connection Provider (ICP) delivering electrical infrastructure projects across the UK energy sector. The business specialises in grid connections, substations and private network infrastructure supporting renewable generation, industrial power users and wider energy transition projects. As project volumes continue to grow, the company is strengthening its HSQE function to ensure the highest standards of safety, environmental management and quality across all operations.

They are now looking to appoint an HSQE Advisor to work closely with operational teams and senior management, helping maintain compliance, drive behavioural improvements and support a strong safety culture across both office and site environments.
Role overview The HSQE Advisor will support the delivery and continuous improvement of health, safety, environmental and quality processes across the business.
Working closely with the HSQE Manager and project teams, the role involves a mixture of office-based work and site visits, ensuring that company procedures, industry regulations and client requirements are consistently applied across all projects.

Responsibilities and duties Support the implementation and maintenance of the company's HSQE management systems
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, internal procedures and industry standards
Assist project managers with CDM requirements and Construction Phase Plan documentation
Carry out site inspections and HSQE audits across live projects
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and internal training sessions
Investigate incidents and produce detailed reports identifying root causes and corrective actions
Analyse accident and incident data to identify trends and improvement initiatives
Maintain and update HSQE documentation and company management systems
Support external audits and maintain company accreditations including ISO standards
Carry out internal document audits to ensure processes are followed
Review subcontractor documentation and conduct subcontractor HSQE audits
Assist with client pre qualification questionnaires and compliance documentation
Support leadership teams in improving safety culture and behavioural standards
Professional qualifications and experience NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
Health and safety experience within construction, utilities or engineering environments
Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
Experience conducting internal or external audits
Knowledge of CDM regulations
Familiarity with NERS or electrical infrastructure environments would be advantageous
Full UK driving licence
Personal attributes and behaviours Strong communication skills with the ability to influence operational teams
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to build relationships with site teams, project managers and senior leadership
Practical and proactive approach to safety management
Comfortable delivering training and toolbox talks
