Technical Analyst

Senior Technical Analyst – Data Platforms - £550 Inside IR35 - 12 month contract - Hybrid

We’re partnering with a globally recognised entertainment business that delivers content to millions of users. Their technology teams are responsible for building and scaling high-performance data platforms that power world-class viewing experiences.

They’re now looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to join a high-performing Software Engineering & Data team working on large-scale platform and data initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading requirements gathering, feature elaboration and backlog refinement activities within agile delivery teams
• Working closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams and Delivery Managers to shape platform capabilities and delivery roadmaps
• Facilitating PI Planning sessions and supporting feature breakdown into well-defined user stories
• Translating complex business and data requirements into actionable technical deliverables
• Analysing and interpreting medium-to-high complexity datasets
• Identifying gaps in existing platform functionality and contributing to future product opportunities
• Supporting data-driven initiatives across reporting, analytics and platform transformation programmes

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience as a Technical Analyst or Business Analyst within Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments
• Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and defining Definition of Done
• Strong understanding of:
• Data warehousing
• Star schemas
• ELT pipelines
• Reporting & analytics processes
• Big data migration projects
• Good SQL and data analysis skills
• Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases
• Ability to document sophisticated business logic, rules and transformations
• Understanding of data governance, security and protection principles
• Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
