Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Associate or Associate Director to support the leadership and growth of its Birmingham highways and infrastructure team on a permanent basis. The role will provide technical leadership across public sector highway projects, while contributing to client management, team development, framework growth and business development.Key Responsibilities:Lead multidisciplinary highways and infrastructure projects from planning through to deliveryManage key client relationships across local authorities and public sector organisationsSupport business development, framework growth and work-winning activitiesProvide technical governance, quality assurance and project oversightLead, mentor and develop engineering teamsContribute to the strategic planning and continued growth of the Birmingham operationSupport the delivery of public sector highways schemes, local authority infrastructure programmes and major transportation projectsJob Requirements:Significant consultancy experience within highways and infrastructure engineeringProven experience managing public sector clients, frameworks and commissionsStrong understanding of highways design, infrastructure planning and project deliveryEstablished client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skillsChartered Engineer status through the ICE or an equivalent professional institutionExperience providing team leadership, technical direction and commercial oversightStrong knowledge of major transportation and urban infrastructure developmentsExcellent communication, project management and business development abilitiesProject Environment:The successful Associate or Associate Director will contribute to a varied portfolio of public sector highways schemes, local authority infrastructure programmes, Birmingham City Council projects and framework commissions.
