SEN Teacher Required | September Start | Long-Term to Permanent Opportunity | Competitive Daily Rate Location: Barking, East London Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday Contract: Long-Term to Permanent About the Role Create Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Barking from September. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a purpose-built SEND environment supporting pupils aged 4–18 years old, from Early Years through to Post-16. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every pupil is supported to develop academically, socially and emotionally whilst building independence, confidence and essential life skills. We are seeking an outstanding SEN Teacher who is committed to delivering engaging, personalised learning experiences and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons tailored to the individual needs of your students. You will work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and senior leaders to ensure all pupils receive the support required to thrive. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and be confident adapting learning to meet a wide range of needs. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment Develop individual learning strategies to support student progress Work closely with SEN Co-Educators, therapists and wider professionals Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress Support the development of communication, social and independence skills Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies Build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans Ensure all students are supported to reach their full potentialWe Are Looking For Someone Who Is A qualified teacher holding QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND Experienced in teaching pupils with additional needs or keen to develop within SEND education Adaptable, patient and resilient Confident managing behaviour positively and effectively A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Committed to delivering outstanding educational outcomes Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Dedicated to creating an engaging and supportive learning environmentExperience and Qualifications Essential: Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent Experience planning and delivering lessons Strong classroom management skillsDesirable: Experience working within a specialist SEND setting Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Complex Needs, SEMH or Learning Difficulties Experience supporting pupils with EHCPsWhat We Offer Competitive daily rate / salary dependent on experience Long-term opportunity with potential for a permanent contract Full-time position Supportive leadership team and collaborative working environment Ongoing professional development opportunities Opportunity to make a genuine impact on the lives of children and young people Dedicated support from the Create Education team throughout the recruitment process Apply Now If you are a passionate and committed SEN Teacher looking for your next opportunity within a specialist educational setting, we would love to hear from you.
