Role Description


This is a full-time hybrid role for a Solicitor – Litigation and Employment, based in Greenwich with the opportunity to work from home for part of the week. The role involves managing a caseload of employment and general litigation matters, including advising clients, drafting pleadings and contracts, preparing tribunal and court documents, and representing clients at hearings where appropriate. The solicitor will review and negotiate settlement agreements, provide risk-based advice to employers and employees, and handle dispute resolution from initial instruction through to conclusion. Day-to-day tasks include conducting legal research, drafting correspondence and opinion letters, liaising with clients, counsel, and third parties, and ensuring accurate file management and compliance with regulatory and firm policies. The role also includes supporting business development activities, contributing to know-how within the team, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Law, with experience handling contentious matters and providing clear, practical advice.
  • Experience or exposure to Civil Litigation , with the ability to manage documentation and transactions efficiently and conduct cases in strict compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Some experience in employment law or aptitude to learn quickly
  • Awareness of or experience in Family Law, with sensitivity to client needs and the ability to manage matters discreetly.
  • Qualified solicitor with current practicing certificate (or equivalent), and experience in litigation and advocacy before tribunals or courts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
