Children's Home Senior Support Worker

Senior Therapeutic Carer Location: Brighton Salary: £28,185 – £29,567 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week, shift work We are looking for experienced Senior Therapeutic Carers to join a specialist therapeutic children's home. The role involves providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and young people, supporting their emotional development and wellbeing while helping to maintain a safe and nurturing environment. Key responsibilities: * Providing therapeutic and relationship-based care * Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home * Supporting and mentoring colleagues * Promoting safeguarding and positive outcomes for children * Building positive relationships with children, families and professionals * Maintaining accurate care records * Supporting the management team with the effective running of the home Requirements: * Previous experience working in a children's residential setting * Experience in a senior or leadership role * A strong understanding of safeguarding and therapeutic childcare * Passion for supporting children and young people Benefits include: * Salary progression up to £29,567 * Additional pay for sleep-ins and bank holidays * Healthcare scheme * Fully funded Level 3 Diploma in Therapeutic Childcare and Education * Comprehensive training and induction * Ongoing professional development * Regular supervision and support
