Madison Berkeley is working with a growing, independent property consultancy looking to appoint a Senior Surveyor or Associate Property Manager to join its London team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for a national portfolio of multi-let commercial properties, predominantly comprising shopping centres and retail-led assets. You will manage the day-to-day performance of the portfolio while developing strong relationships with clients, tenants and on-site teams.

The role
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a national portfolio of multi-let commercial properties, with a particular focus on shopping centres
- Preparing and managing service charge budgets
- Working closely with property accounts on all aspects of financial reporting
- Overseeing health and safety compliance across the portfolio
- Providing lease management advice and maintaining strong tenant relationships
- Producing accurate, high-quality client reports within agreed deadlines
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Tendering and managing single and multi-site contracts
- Identifying opportunities to improve portfolio performance, efficiency and profitability
- Supporting the delivery of marketing, commercialisation and business rates mitigation strategies
- Managing insurance risks and claims
- Delivering ESG initiatives across the portfolio
- Carrying out regular property inspections
- Line-managing and developing on-site teams and junior colleagues
The ideal candidate
You will have:
- Previous commercial property management experience
- Experience managing multi-let properties and service charge budgets
- Strong client, tenant and stakeholder management skills
- Good knowledge of the RICS professional statement for service charges
- An understanding of health and safety legislation affecting commercial property xwzovoh
- Strong written reporting and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and financial awareness
- Retail or shopping centre experience would be highly advantageous
- MRICS qualification would be preferred but is not essential
