Greg Mitchell Motors continues to grow, and we are now looking to recruit an experienced Senior New Car Sales Executive to join our high-performing multi-franchise sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven automotive sales professional to take the next step in their career within a busy, ambitious dealership representing leading brands including MG, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and KGM.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in new car sales and be capable of leading by example, consistently delivering results, managing the full customer journey to a high standard, and contributing positively to the overall performance of the sales department.

You will be joining a dealership with strong lead generation, modern systems, manufacturer-backed products, and a clear focus on customer experience, process discipline, and sales performance.


The Role


This is a senior, results-driven sales position suited to someone who is confident managing a busy new car sales pipeline, converting enquiries effectively, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from first contact through to vehicle handover and aftersales support.

As a Senior New Car Sales Executive, you will be expected not only to achieve your own sales targets but also to set a strong example in customer service, lead management, CRM discipline, product knowledge, and professionalism.

Working across multiple franchises, you will manage showroom enquiries, digital leads, manufacturer enquiries, telephone enquiries, and self-generated business opportunities while helping maintain a positive and high-performing sales culture.

As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to wider commercial activities, including supporting manufacturer programmes, identifying stock opportunities, helping drive used car performance, and supporting dealership marketing initiatives.

This may include participating in social media content, vehicle walkaround videos, promotional campaigns, customer handover content, and other marketing activities designed to showcase our brands, stock, and customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage new car enquiries across all channels, including showroom, digital, manufacturer, telephone, and walk-in enquiries
  • Take full ownership of the customer journey from enquiry through to delivery and aftersales follow-up
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Maximise conversion rates through effective lead management and customer follow-up
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage a structured sales pipeline
  • Deliver a professional customer experience across all communication channels
  • Conduct professional vehicle presentations and test drives
  • Advise customers on finance products, including PCP, HP, part exchange, insurance, and additional products in line with FCA requirements
  • Support departmental objectives, manufacturer targets, and sales campaigns
  • Lead by example through strong process discipline, product knowledge, and customer care
  • Support and mentor less experienced sales colleagues where appropriate
  • Generate new business through renewals, referrals, prospecting, and previous customer relationships
  • Assist with stock sourcing opportunities and support used car performance initiatives
  • Contribute to dealership marketing activity, including social media, promotional content, and vehicle walkarounds
  • Work closely with Marketing, Aftersales, and Administration teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Ensure all documentation, finance proposals, orders, and handover processes are completed accurately
  • Maintain high showroom, demonstrator, and forecourt presentation standards
  • Keep up to date with manufacturer products, offers, campaigns, and competitor activity



About You


This role is ideal for an experienced automotive sales professional who understands what it takes to succeed in a fast-paced dealership environment.

You will be confident, commercially aware, highly organised, and capable of delivering a first-class customer experience while consistently achieving results.


Essential Requirements


  • Proven experience in car sales,
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Confidence in closing sales both face-to-face and digitally
  • Good knowledge of finance products, including PCP, HP, and part exchange processes
  • Experience using CRM and dealership management systems
  • Excellent follow-up discipline and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Professional and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive approach to generating new business opportunities
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of both new and used vehicle performance
  • Comfortable contributing to social media and video content where required
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Uncapped commission structure
  • OTE £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:45am 6:00pm
Thursday: 8:45am 7:30pm
Saturday: Rota basis
