Senior Mechanical Tooling Designer Role - Senior Mechanical Tooling Designer Contract - 12 months Rate £45 Per Hour Inside IR35 Location - Derby 5x per week Are you an experienced Tooling or Mechanical Designer looking to work on cutting-edge defence engineering projects? This is an excellent opportunity for talented engineers to join a high-performing team delivering tooling, fixtures, and mechanical design solutions for major new-build programmes within a highly regulated engineering environment. Role Responsibilities ·Designing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and mechanical components ·Producing concept and detailed 3D CAD designs ·Solving complex engineering and manufacturing challenges ·Modifying and improving designs to meet project requirements ·Supporting safety, reliability, and performance reviews ·Producing technical documentation and reports ·Managing design risks and project scope Key Skills ·Experience in Tooling Design or Mechanical Design ·Background in defence, nuclear, aerospace, or heavy engineering environments ·Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and materials ·Experience with Siemens NX or similar 3D CAD systems ·Familiarity with Teamcentre or similar PLM systems ·Understanding of engineering standards and safety legislation Please note that this role requires UK Security Clearance!
