SEN Teacher Required
Are you a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting supporting children and young people with complex and high-level special educational needs. The needs of the pupils are significant and varied, requiring a teacher who can adapt their approach, build strong relationships, and create a positive learning environment where every student can succeed.
About the Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of complex needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Communication and sensory needs
* Trauma
The children require a high level of support both academically and emotionally, so experience working within an SEN environment would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
* Support pupils with complex and challenging needs
* Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents
* Monitor progress and maintain accurate records
* Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and wellbeing
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with SEN pupils is desirable
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Must drive and have a clean license
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
