Operations & Payroll Assistant

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
My client is a fast-growing hospitality business entering an exciting phase of expansion. They are now seeking an Operations Assistant to support the wider business across projects, operational delivery and strategic initiatives during a period of rapid growth.
This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, thrives in evolving environments and is confident taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with multiple teams across the business, supporting operational structure and helping drive efficiency as the company scales.
The role would suit someone commercially aware, highly organised and eager to build a long-term career within hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support a range of operational and business projects across the company
Collaborate closely with internal teams across multiple functions
Conduct research and analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
Take ownership of projects and ensure delivery within agreed timelines
Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to drive execution
Support payroll administration and assist with staffing and labour reporting processes
Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure payroll information is accurate and up to date
Support the development of operational processes and systems during a growth phase
Adapt to evolving business priorities and operational requirements
Provide weekend support where required
About You
Bachelors degree required, ideally within business or a related field
25 years experience within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
Previous exposure to payroll processes, staffing administration or labour reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with understanding of P&L principles
Commercially aware with understanding of operational business challenges
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working within ambiguity and changing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused with a strong sense of ownership
