Job role: Pest Officer Location: Belfast Hourly rate: £15.82 Hours of work: 37 hours per week (M-F) Blue Arrow are recruiting for a pest officer for our client in Belfast.
The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.
As a pest officer you will be responsible for carrying out the full range of pest control work, disinfecting work and drain testing in an effective and efficient manner and in accordance with all set procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- treatment of rodents, insects and other pests and all related tasks
- control of mosquitoes and flies
- laying bait and poison as required
- disinfection and disinfestation of lands, premises, persons, clothing, furnishings, belongings, and other items
- testing & treatment of sewers and drains, providing advice on the practicalities of testing to Environmental Health Officers as required
- relief duty and searching of ships at the port
- maintain records relating to work carried out as required and to provide reports as required You will have:
- have a full, current UK driving licence (B category)
- have a minimum of five GCSEs (grades A-C) including English
