About the Role
We're looking for an experienced 3PL Contract Manager to join our Operations and Warehousing team. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing our relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring service levels, costs, and contractual obligations are met while driving continuous improvement across our fulfilment network. You'll currently oversee a network of 1 international and 3 UK 3PL partners, with the network set to grow further as we expand into the EU and US markets — making this a key role in shaping our logistics footprint through a period of active growth. You'll act as the key point of contact between our business and external logistics partners, balancing commercial negotiation with day-to-day operational oversight to keep goods moving efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring terms are commercially sound and operationally deliverable
- Monitor 3PL performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs (e.g. on-time delivery, cost-per-unit, inventory accuracy), driving corrective action where needed
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and renegotiations to secure favourable commercial terms
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational or service issues with logistics partners
- Work closely with the Warehouse and Fulfilment teams to align 3PL activity with internal operations
- Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives across the logistics network
- Support the onboarding of new 3PL partners as we expand into the EU and US, including due diligence and tender processes
- Produce regular reporting on 3PL performance, costs, and risk for senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, health & safety, and contractual requirements
- Travel regularly to 3PL partner sites across the UK and internationally to maintain strong operational oversight
Qualifications
At least 5 years' experience managing 3PL contracts and relationships, ideally across multiple sites
Required Skills
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a track record of managing supplier performance
- Solid understanding of warehousing, fulfilment, and supply chain operations
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
- Confident analysing performance data and translating it into action
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience working within a fast-paced operations or logistics environment
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the UK and internationally
Preferred Skills
- Experience xwzovoh in [retail / e-commerce / manufacturing — insert relevant sector]
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics KPIs
- Previous experience managing multiple 3PL relationships simultaneously, including international partners
- Experience supporting geographic expansion (e.g. EU or US market entry) from a logistics or supply chain perspective
