New: Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate / Principal Associate), 5 to 9 PQE, £100,000 to £130,000, International Law Firm, Leeds

An international full-service law firm is looking for an experienced Corporate lawyer to join its Leeds Corporate team at Senior Associate or Principal Associate level, 5 to 9 PQE.

What sets this seat apart is the mix: you'd be working for a substantial base of the region's largest companies and a sizeable private equity client roster, while also picking up mandates that come through the firm's wider national and international relationships - local client contact with genuinely global deal flow, rather than one or the other.

The work is primarily M&A, with some exposure to equity capital markets, private equity and corporate reorganisations. A general M&A skillset is what matters; cross-border or PE experience is useful but not a prerequisite. The team is consistently one of the busier M&A practices in the market, so the deal flow is real rather than occasional.

There's a clear route to broaden your international exposure too - secondments and placements into other offices within the firm are genuinely on offer, not just a line in the brochure, alongside close working relationships with corporate teams across the network.

At this level you'd also be expected to coach and supervise more junior lawyers and get involved in business development, so it suits someone ready to start building their own practice within an established, well-resourced team rather than just executing deals.
