Part-Time Domestic Assistant

thefutureworks are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Domestic Assistant to join our team at Coventry University Scarborough Campus. Location: Scarborough, YO11 2JW Hours: 15 hours per week Working hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-6:00pm Contract: Part-time The Role As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the campus and ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. Duties and Responsibilities * Undertake a full range of cleaning duties as directed on a day-to-day basis. * Clean communal areas, stairs, corridors and lift entrances. * Empty waste bins and remove rubbish to the appropriate collection points. * Use a range of cleaning equipment and materials in accordance with agreed specifications and work schedules. * Ensure all cleaning is completed to an excellent standard. * Clean a variety of surfaces, fixtures and fittings using appropriate methods, equipment and materials. * Report any concerns or queries to the Domestic Team Leader. * Comply with all COSHH and Health & Safety requirements. Skills and Experience We are looking for someone who: * Is able to undertake a range of manual cleaning activities. * Is reliable, hardworking and self-motivated. * Can use their own initiative. * Works well as part of a team. * Has excellent communication skills. * Has excellent customer service skills. * Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
